| When I wrote the first chapter of Dark Moon Rising back in 1994 I had a completely different storyline in mind. What you will read is the result of several rewrites spanning eleven years and countless hours of thought and introspection.
"As I slid the throttles to full military power our Nighthawk fighter quivered like a sprinter poised at the block, a massive arrow arcing the bow, its powerful engines firing heat waves and flame trails behind. I only dimly perceived, feeling more than hearing, such was my focus as our bird of prey hurtled down the runway.
